The following events will take place every Fri. & Sat.: Oct. 7-9, 14-16, 21-23, 29-30

Friday: Halloween Carnival, Kid’s Halloween Bash with DJ (followed by adult DJ party), Ghostly Flashlight Candy Hunt, Not So Scary Outdoor Halloween Movie, Hayride thru the park.

Saturday: Halloween Carnival, Scare Bear Craft, Paint Your Own Pumpkin or Small Canvas, Face Painting, Family Scavenger Hunt, Family Halloween Games, Mummy Bingo (children and adults, win cash), Best Decorated Golf Cart Parade, Howling Hayride, Campsite Trick or Treating, Kid’s & Adult’s Costume Contests, Costume Ball with DJ, Best Decorated Site Contest, Haunted Attraction “Trail of Terror” in the Woods. Prizes will be awarded for all contests.

Ride the Ghost Train

Ghost Train 2016 tickets on sale September 10, 2016. Join in the spine chilling fun as we venture through the spooky woods of Northwest River Park in Chesapeake. This haunted hay ride is appropriate for families and children. Join in the fun, but don’t be late, as tickets go quickly and normally sell out! Tickets must be purchased in advance.

When: Ghost Train runs Thursday, Friday & Saturday on October 20, 21, 22 and 27, 28, 29

Cost: Fridays and Saturdays: $10 per ticket, Thursdays $9 per ticket

How: Purchase tickets at all Chesapeake community centers, Northwest River Park, Parks and Recreation Administrative Office at 1224 Progressive Drive, or online at: www.CityofChesapeake.net/GHOSTTRAIN. Order tickets before arriving at the park, many of the popular train times sell out well in advance. Print out and bring your ticket/receipt to ride the Ghost Train.
